Beginning a project can be stressful and bewildering, so we wanted to share an overview of how our process works and the phases of your project journey, big or small.

SCHEMATIC DESIGN

This is the design phase where it all begins… you tell us your hopes, dreams, and desires for your project. We translate those parameters into diagrams, plans, and elevations after researching zoning, building codes, site restrictions, and any other project impediments. At this point in the process, preliminary budgets and timelines are discussed. Once schematic design is complete, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the style, look, and function of your project.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

This intermediate design phase consists of figuring out how the project fits together. Coordination of structure, mechanical, utilities, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, interior design, and overall design parameters are the focus of design development. Client input in this phase includes selection of materials, appliances, plumbing fixtures, and finishes.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

In this final stage of drawing for your project the information from the previous phases is documented and noted in order to convey the requirements for construction. These are the documents that we or another contractor will utilize to build your project.

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

This phase supplements the building process of your project. We monitor the construction and assist with any issues that might arise.
